The territory of the Southern coast of Crimea (South Coast), the region of Big Yalta is an administrative territorial unit, which includes 2 cities, 21 urban-type settlements, 8 villages and 1 village, the total population is 138,833 (2017 data).
The main goal of the strategic master plan is to study and analyze the functional zones of the coastal territories of the South Coast, to study the natural and anthropogenic factors of the area, to identify the main urban development problems in the planning organization of urban and rural settlements, to analyze analogues in similar terrain, and the final stage is to draw up a conceptual proposal to optimize the territory of the South Coast and the development of a master plan as an example of the application of theoretical models.
The relevance of the topic is due to the need for the future development of the degrading and undeveloped territories of the Southern Coast of Crimea, as the most acute problem in the urban development system of the South Coast is the intensive urbanization of urban-type settlements and nature-protected territories.
The subject of this study is the principles of organizing the urban planning system of the southern coast of Crimea in accordance with the environment-forming potential of the landscape and climate.
